Therefore, certain precautions and care are needed for them to keep in a working condition so that you will not have to worry bringing them to repair shop that will cost you more money and time.
The mower, spreader, edger and trimmer are some of the most important lawn equipment that every lawn owner must have. It is also true that these lawn equipments require some effort keeping them in good working condition.
When winter comes, the weather can greatly affect your lawn equipments in terms of its operations. The small and moving parts in it can be affected by the weather therefore can limit its operations when the winter is over and you needed them again in your lawn. I would like to share some tips on how to care on your lawn equipments so that you will not have to buy new again.
You should not let gasoline to stay inside the mowerâ??s gasoline tank before you store it inside the whole winter. This gas wonâ??t be usable anymore after the break, since it will collect water from condensation. Also donâ??t forget to drain the oil from the mower and remove the spark plug. And then lubricate every moving parts and screws.
Letâ??s go now to the spreader. Before putting it in storage before the winter comes, wash the spreader with hot water and remove any caked-on particles. After that, wipe off the wet parts and air dry it. Another thing to do is to apply a thin coat of oil at the discharge portâ??s bottom.
Finally, prepare your edger and trimmers. Like what you did to your mower, empty the gas tank if they are gas powered and donâ??t forget to disconnect the spark plug. Also lubricate and tighten loose screws and moving parts. And there you go, simply store your lawn equipments in a safe and dry place until spring comes.
