Are LPN Wages Sufficient To Live On
Comments OffOne of the key questions that someone who is considering undertaking the year long training program to qualify as an LPN or Licensed Practical Nurse is whether the LPN wages that they can expect are good, or insufficient to maintain a reasonable standard of living on. This is understandable as the commitment to take the LPN training program is not inconsiderable; you will have to fund the cost of the course, you will lose a significant chunk of your existing livelihood whilst you are studying and you will have to support yourself throughout.
The good news is that the demand for the services of LPNs over the last few years has grown significantly and it is widely believed that this level of demand will continue to grow at least for the next 5 to 10 years. The reason this is a significant fact is that as demand rises so the number of unfilled LPN vacancies will occur, and the consequence of this is that LPN wages will tend to rise to attract necessary candidates to fill the vacancy.
The simple fact is therefore that if you are considering training to become an LPN one of the factors that should not concern you is the level of LPN wages.
